How To Setup a Free Interactive Chat Plugin on Your Website

Interactive chat plugins are gaining popularity as a powerful tool to help convert more leads. Find out how to setup a free one for your website.

Why is it important:

Interactive chat plugins are gaining popularity as a powerful tool to help convert more leads. By providing customers with pre-loaded messages and replies, businesses can quickly and efficiently answer questions and provide support.

This allows customers to quickly get the information they need in order to make an informed decision about their purchase. Interactive chat plugins also enable you to proactively reach out to potential customers and start building relationships that ultimately turn into conversions. In addition, they can be customized with message templates, allowing you to tailor your communication for each customer in order to provide a more personalized experience. Ultimately, having an interactive chat plugin on your website means you can get more information on them even when they don’t fill out lead forms and, thereby, will be able to connect with potential customers better and convert more leads.

Things required before you start:

  • You should have an existing website on WordPress.
  • You should have an existing and already set Facebook pixel connected between your Facebook business page and your website. If you haven’t done it yet, then follow our guide to do so.

Expand the section named “Customize your Chat plugin” segment.

  • You can decide on whether you want the users to log in to their Facebook accounts before using the chat, or you will allow users without the account to interact with your chat plugin, too. For that, you can toggle on/off the button next to the option called “Guest Chat”.
  • Toggle the button on, which is next to “Choose a present option that complements your brand”. Here, you can select the plugin’s color that aligns well with your brand colors.
  • You have many other options, like the look and feel of the chat button, icon style, etc., which you can edit in this segment based on your liking.

Once done, click on the “Publish” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 10: Your chat plugin will now be live on your website. You can now capture the target audience’s queries and their details in real time whenever they interact with the chat.

These messages will come as a notification on your Facebook page, and you can use the Messenger app to communicate with your target audience either in real-time or you can decide on replying back to them (if they have logged in through their Facebook account) at a later stage.
